What the eyes can't see 20

As we go through life we are taught a lot of things, most of them are plain to see, then there are those things that have no real explanations, mostly just theories but we believe them. Why? We open history books and read of events that took place thousands of years ago as recorded by historians of the day, the first Olympics for example dating back to 753 BC and we believe this. Why? Simple because it happened and was recorded by an eye witness. There are a great number of such recorded events, then there are the poets and philosophers, the likes of Homer, Virgil, Plato and Socrates and great mathematicians and historians, Pythagoras from around 580 BC and Josephus AD 37. The writings and life stories of all of these people are taken seriously, and are taught in our schools, we are even forced to learn theories (claimed to be fact) such as evolution, from self acclaimed experts on the origins of man, like Charles Darwin.
When existing and far longer standing, established opposing views are offered, those of biblical accounts, they are scoffed at, and said to be mythical, inconsistent or even completely contradictory. this is a book that can only be taken seriously by quote " Fools; losers; The uneducated; or those duped into believing it through brain washing " Well now let us look at a few credentials of a book that conjures up such raving reviews. This book was written over a period of 1500-1600 years by more than 40 people from various walks of life, from fishermen to doctors and even kings. Existing copies, when compared with scrolls found as recently as 1956 namely, the Dead Sea scrolls, amazingly they were almost identical, right down to the word. About 6 billion copies of the bible have been sold, more than any other written record, this is strange! for a book that is only believed in by "uneducated losers" and "indoctrinated dropouts of society".( These are not the views of everyone but many think on these lines) So why have so many copies been sold and read?
